Your role as Senior AI Engineer

You will be working on simplifying a complex business, turning it into an intuitive and worldwide scalable product that enables companies to manage logistics in a more time and cost-efficient way. You will leverage your expertise in Machine Learning and Generative AI to architect and build the intelligent backend of our fast-growing shipping platform. Together with the team, you will design and deploy new AI-driven functionalities, taking responsibility for the technical future and intelligence of the platform. Your opinion and ideas matter at Shypple. You will focus on building AI solutions, defining and maintaining our LLM & ML models and data pipelines, and ensuring the high performance and responsiveness required for real-time decision-making. At our company, your vision for applying AI to solve real-world logistical challenges will be crucial to our success.

Your responsibilities

• • Design and architect end-to-end AI solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless integration with our existing technology stack.

  • Lead the development, training, and fine-tuning of advanced AI models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), computer vision, and NLP solutions.

  • Build and manage robust and scalable data pipelines, ensuring the high-quality data needed to power our AI initiatives.

  • Implement and champion LLMOps/MLOps best practices for the automated deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of models in production.

  • Optimize the performance of AI models for speed, accuracy, and resource efficiency.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to fellow engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation through code reviews and design discussions.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into tangible, high-impact AI solutions.

  • Stay at the forefront of the AI landscape by researching and applying cutting-edge techniques and technologies to solve real-world challenges.

We are looking for

• Demonstrated experience in applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to real-world use cases and delivering tangible results.

• Strong background and extensive knowledge in Machine Learning (ML) and other relevant AI disciplines.

• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to deeply understand and analyze complex challenges.

• A strong interest in engaging with product and business problems and leveraging AI to develop effective solutions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with back-end and other cross-functional teams.

• A proactive and motivated approach to driving key initiatives, including automation, problem-solving, and the implementation of LLM-powered solutions.

Work location
We are open to remote work, but candidates must be based in the European time zone.

However, relocation to the Netherlands is preferred, and we offer a relocation package to assist with the move. We have a hybrid model with 2 office days and working from home on the others.
