Job description

We are growing fast and looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our team.

As a digital forwarder, Shypple is a full-service logistics provider for shipping goods from A to Z. We enable our clients to get real-time visibility into every aspect of their supply chain using our easy-to-use dashboard and a variety of booking, planning, delivery and communication scenarios. This makes logistics easier, more efficient, and accountable while lowering hassle, communication and costs. We make shipping simple.

Requirements

As an Operations Coordinator, you will work at the heart of Shypple’s operational activities. You will accept, process and finalize our logistical orders. Together with your team, you will provide our customers with a smooth experience and offer great service. You are a problem solver with a getting things done mentality, and will be responsible for protecting our processes and structures. You will also identify, escalate and solve returning errors. Be prepared for a never-ending improvement cycle which is unique to this industry.

About this role

You will be the main driver in:

  • Operations: process LCL, FCL and air/road shipment from booking to invoicing. 

  • Customer service: create and maintain an excellent relationship with our customer base 

  • Finance: process incoming invoices and handle disputes. 

  • Documentation: process and archive all shipment related documents.

You have a passion for logistics and want to help us make global trade frictionless. You have preferably 1-2 years of experience in an ocean/air forwarding or shipping company, including basic financial activities like applying VAT rules and credit terms. You have excellent customer service skills and know how to create a good relationship with suppliers and customers. You can manage to set up, finetune and execute different shipment processes. You know how to work in a fast growing and collaborative startup environment where your strong English and Dutch verbal and written communication skills will be needed.
